Last.fm announces royalties for musicians

Last.fm has struck a deal with all the major record labels to be able to play legally full length tracks, free of charge for the end user but with royalties paid to musicians. How does it work? Advertising revenue. The good news for independent musicians? Anyone with music on last.fm can get royalties, you do not need to be a member of a collection society. Go to your music manager control panel, follow the link for royalties and opt-in :)
